America has always struck me as being chock full of ironies. Like, how is that a country allegedly formed to resist `evil` taxation from Britain now has one of the most pervasive and invasive tax systems in the world? With a revenue service that instills fear with just three simple letters?

True, but the electoral college is an anachronism. Every other elective post is filled in the true democratic fashion, so the presidency should be as well.
