I used to live in apartments that had a lake on the property that looks just like that one - awsome fishing. When I had finals I would take my books and go fishing....would study for a while then fish for while, always made good on exams because of the serenity around me. Beautifu country-side, thanks Riv!! Love that 1st pic the most, awsome.

 

i actually own two ponds (carp, tench, zander), not as large as the one in the pics above, but big enough to be called a "biotope" (especially musquashes call them their habitat *s*)
due to the rain over the last couple of days i´m not able to reach them by car right now.
there are chances that the "road" will be drivable in one or two days. will see.

 

Had to google tench and zander, never heard of those. We have carp here but the other fresh water fish is bass, bream, and crapie that we fish for mostly.

Cool, whenever you can get to it is fine.

Cool, i've never heard of those. According to the wicki link you gave me the Ingrid Marie is over here but not the other 2. Strange to me that different cultures don't share more types of foods.

 

not every species grows everywhere. and for many reasons countries always are "hesitant" to allow foreign species, not only for protectionism.

a little off-topic, but it´s not alllowed to bring living animals to Iceland, for example. Iceland horses are quite popular here, also tournaments with riders from Iceland. they have to sell their horses when they go back home.

 

yes, I'm aware of the hesitation because of different diseases from livestock but it would seem to me that a fruit or vegetable would be different. I would think scientist would be able to determine wether or not those would be a risk before actually trying to produce it. Livestock is a totally different story, diseases could be living in them but not active yet. But, I know little about things like that.
