I don't mean to be That Guy, but I can't help noticing that Millie travels to events ... and her castmates travel to events ... but rarely do they seem to be the same events. And that Sadie's last-day-of-filming post on Instagram seemed to have every major cast member in the photos except for one particular person. Is there verified bad blood there?

(It seemed pretty clear Winona Ryder's comments about young actors who don't care about movies seemed pointed at Millie.)

 

An odd aside, I recently found out the Monty Python members weren't particularly friends away from the show. They never hung out. They would get together to write and perform but that's it. Even now in their old age John Cleese and Eric Idle have some hot feud and they haven't talked in 8 years. I digress to Monty Python to say casts don't necessarily like each other away from work. A cast like Star Trek: TNG where they're all literally friends isn't common.

 

I call getting along scissoring. But that's just me.

 

I know her and Noah are pretty close at the very least.

 

I know that Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam and John Cleese were friends but even when they were at the height of their popularity Eric Idle would be an 'outlier' who would go away, write his own stuff without collaborating with the others and then submit it to the group and insist on it being used with little or no input from the others. If it hadn't been so good he would probably have been told to go away (as an aside, comedian and musician Neil Innes had a feud with Idle until the day he died). Palin, Jones and Cleese all worked with Gilliam on various projects and of course Cleese had his own projects such as Fawlty Towers, Jones wrote books and Palin had his wildly successful travelogues.

 

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel basically tore themselves apart due in large part to Simon's resentment of Garfunkel getting most of the limelight for Simon's hard work (contrary to what Garfunkel would say or imply in interviews at the time, he never wrote a single note or word in any of their songs). It got to the point where they would leave at opposite ends of the stage after gigs and would only meet up for rehearsals and recording sessions. Paul Simon then wrote what he considered his maesterwerk, Bridge Over Troubled Water as an olive branch to Garfunkel, even writing it a couple of octaves higher than Simon himself could sing so it would be a perfect fit for Garfunkel. But then true to form, Garfunkel blatantly lied in TV and magazine interviews claiming that he had written it himself. At which point Simon basically told him to f*ck off. Don't blame him.

 

Truly. Though I saw a photo somewhere earlier, I think on Reddit, of Sadie with Taylor Swift around the time the "All Too Well" video came out. I'd like to see them working really, truly closely.
