    EDIT-ish: Sort of the reason that most marinades have a vinegar or citrus or wine or something; acid softens meat greatly.

    Beer won't do that, but with a pre-softened meet it's very good at trapping moisture and adding just a tiny hit of bittersweet. So for a meat marinade, don't go beer. But if you're basically trying to steam moisture into a vegetable or just boil a sausage or somthing (rather than marinade it and soften it up), beer can be great.

    Ohhhh, stop rubbing it in. I've got work :(

    I'm good sup, only slept for 3 hours but it seems to have been good sleep. Just downing copious amounts of coffee. Didn't hit my sales target last weekend, and I have my pay-rise review today!!!! So I need to be on the ball.
