I wonder if Orion would protect the house. He puffs up and barks but I am not sure if he would do anything.

I am so sorry. I would freak out if someone shot my dogs. Even if they were chasing chickens. My last dog was stolen and by the time I found where he was the pound had put him down. He was a pit bull and they don't usually get readopted. I drove all the way to a different state and everything. Nothing makes me more angry than someone hurting an animal. I make monthly donations to the ASPCA in his memory.

I was devestated at the time. I still get upset when I dwell on it. I can't blame the farmer though, he was just protecting his stock.

I couldn't imagine having my dog stolen! Who would do such a thing? It's like tearing someones heart out.

I suppose so. I would be glad to buy someone 100 chickens to save the life of my dog though.

My last dog I got with an ex boyfriend and I kept him when we broke up. He had the dog for the weekend and someone he knew took the dog and this nice conversion van that I gave to him. I was pretty much devastated. So now I try to help out at shelters and do what I can. Makes me feel better to know I can help other dogs in his name. He was my best friend.

 

Not beer o clock here yet. I am eating breakfast. Maybe mimosa or bloody mary o clock though...

animal shelters make me sad beyond belief...

Unfortunately that wasn't an option I'm afraid. I searched for them for three days before someone came forward and told me what had happened. It's too sad to talk about, I rather regret bringing it up in fact.

I wish I had a dog hearing you guys talk. Dogs are great ... but I worry about leaving a dog alone all day while I'm at work.
