I always wonder what happened to Matthew Fox. He made that mediocre movie with Tyler Perry and pretty much dropped off the map afterwards.

The ending to Lost probably didnt help him too much either.

 

Apparently he's a woman beater. So he's probably been quietly blacklisted

He also was in speed racer, which was visually great, but not much beyond that.

 

He had a show 2 or 3 years back but it only lasted one season.

 

The problem was Fox was shockingly the worst part of that Alex Cross film. Similar to Eddie Redmayne being the worst part of Jupiter's Ascending. Both are fully good even great actors who are inexplicably bad at playing villains.
I heard his pre-Lost show Haunted (2002) [supernatural x-files like mystery] was good.

He was supposed to have a sizeable role in World War Z but it ended up being much more of a cameo. He was a part of the chopper crew that gets Brad Pitt and his family out of overrun Philly. Pitt reworked the film after filming was complete so it begs the question did Fox's character get reduced in screen time due to story changes or was he being a difficult, unstable problem that they had to get off set ASAP.

 

Apparently he's going to be on a Yellowstone spin-off so hey, maybe he's making a comeback?

 

Thanks for that Martian as did go and check out what the whole 'women beating' incident was all about when Keith informed me of it and, boy, its sounds incredibly weird and somewhat sketchy from the bus drivers perspective.

The fact that her lawyer pretty much up and walked makes me wonder if there was any truth to the matter at all but one thing that does leave me with a big question mark is the whole Monaghan thing.

To me as an outsider, it seems a very odd thing to go and do unless he holds a personal grudge against Fox for some reason. I have to imagine that something happened on the set of Lost that caused them to butt heads as you dont come out of no where and post something like that unless you really dislike the person.

As you said, who knows what the truth is in all of this.

 

Today is the 12th anniversary of Alexandra Daddaio's nudity on True Detective, though I had seen the leaks about a week or so prior.

 

..and last year was the 11th!
Next year will be the 13th!
