nah i work for a gearbox company, this is the type of gearbox's we build they are a reducer, by slowing the input speed through the ratio in the gears they create huge amounts of power and torque most of the boxes we build drive huge conveyors, to transfer coal or iron oar, this was a box i had to do repairs on in western australia, it was so fucking hot!

Frankly, the job wears me out. On a night off, my body goes into a recovery mode. I get into bed at around 5 and don't sake up till 4 the next afternoon. I just can't explain the physical toll it takes. Guys who are 22 years old quit after a week because it's too hard.

 

They put a lot of stress on us too..

 

We have deadlines, no matter how much or how heavy -- they actually time our work!

 

If I wanted I could go till that late, but I'm trying to give the bones a fighting chance.

thats the belt line running in the background, it is a 500kw motor running that box, that project was to originally produce 45million tonnes of iron oar a year but we it will eventually grow to 200 million a year, it runs from the mines in the pilbra region of oz (middel of no where lol) to port hedland, oz's biggest exporting port!
