I think these gals are only proving our point. The ads are saying nothing at all about "women in sports," she is selling a gambling site. For them to say, "This is what women in sports look like" is nice, but it's an absolute non sequitor.

 

All of these “controversies” in the past year or so are really working in her favor, popularity-wise. She’s gotten everyone against wokeism and feminism and all the -isms, many of whom didn’t like her or give her a second glance before, to become diehard supporters (adding to her fans from before all of this, who are unphased). I mean, she’s the first Hollywood "it girl" to have people convinced she’s anti-Hollywood.

Ultimately this isn't even about Sydney (although these women don't even realize it), this is about all the internalized battles and insecurities they're projecting unto her they've dealt with in their lives about being a woman doing sports. They can just do it onto a target that's the in thing (person) right now to tear down. They're so blind to it they don't even realize she's not trying to get men into sports she's trying to get men into gambling (which is another bad tasting aspect ftr).

 

So true, it doesn't logically follow. Also there is a long history of actulal female athletes who have sexualized themselves, sometimes they were applauded, sometimes there was backlash. It's nothing new. Sydney's portrayal is so obviously tongue in cheek and overtly sexualized that to respond to it as if it was meant to be be a portrayal of female atheletes is funny. Some people don't like her and are using their free speech to complain about her. My wife and I were talking about this and she commented how little do the people responding this way think about women to respond to this as if women viewed this ad as an example or role model for aspiring female athletes. Most women are smarter than that. They recognize it's an ad meant for a sports gambling site using her body/physical attributes to draw attention. Nothing more.

 

Just saying, complaining about her sexualizing women's sports in the ad while the ad doesn't mention women's sports in the slightest shows their main problems are Sydney herself and this amount of attention not being on THEM instead, but they can't come out and say that so they try to disguise it in typical 'professionally offended' word salad and attempt to make it some sort of epic stand against whatever social injustice is in vogue today to earn brownie points from the people known as 'the woke mob' on social media. Just say you don't like her and that you wished you and your sports got as much attention as naked Sydney promoting a sports betting app does instead of casting yourselves as the Rosa Parks of the 21st century FFS

We have women sexualize themselves in Sports Illustrated ESPN and all kinds of magazines and evenPlayboy where these sports woman are REALLY nude. Where is the outrage at them ! Also Sydney isn't even nude she is covering her private parts up. Also the gambling stuff. Also just a VERY bad excuse. Its all free will and there a 1000 of gambling sites what is one more. Also there has been many stars promoting gambling sites she isn't the first.

Very respectful of everyone's opinions, but it feels like there haven't been new pics in a minute. I think most of us agree that "more Sydney" doesn't suck, but please quit getting my hopes up of more pics with discussion. There's definitely another thread for that.
