    Some guy flew his Cessna into a house this morning. missed the runway by a thousand yards or so. 3 people dead, serious bummer. Other than that, things are just peachy. Wasn't my house after all. :)

    That shit happens too frequently here at the small general aviation airport on the north side, though admittedly, planes don't always fly into people's bedrooms when they're sleeping, they usually land in the backyard pool.

    I live about a mile north of the internatioal airport here, which has never had a major catastrophe as far as I know.
    A true man of the water you be swab.

    Hey Magge, how's it going today?

    Our water comes from the Coosa River then through treatment plants. Which is also where we get out power from - hydoeletric power plants - so the power companies have more pull than anyone. Alabama and Georgia got in to a tiff about who owned what and Georgia stopped some of the water flow down to us. They finally hashed it out and released more so we shouldn't get into that shit again - unless we go a really long time without rain. What's so bad is that both Alabama Power and Georgia Power are subsidiaries of the parent company Southern Company Services.
