    Well it's all speculation, but the reporters who deal with these people have a pretty good idea what's going on when you catch them off camera. I'm a Red Sox fan and he's the captain, but the same buzz says the reason that Jason Varitek's in the middle of a divorce is for banging Red Sox sideline reporter Heidi Watney.

    You talk to beat reporters and you can tell the difference between shit that fans made up and stuff that people who hang around the players all day have a pretty good idea is going on (there's not a lot of other reasons that Butler's wife would be seen going up to Kobe's room on the road late at night several times on the road that year, and the Lakers rarely make a trade giving up someone like Caron for basically nothing unless their hand is forced--when teammates give the scoop to Breshnahan that just confirms what was an open secret on the beat)

    well even if its true i dont like or dislike an athlete based on his moral decisions, i like them based on how they play their sport and kobe is the best at his sport and plus hes on the lakers so im a little biased anyway

    The Red Wings are maybe the coolest team I've seen. So many winning seasons and Cups, but the team is assembled in part based on the players' character...
