See, it's weird. For so long, i didn't believe in God.

But now, i think it's organised religion i have a problem with. I wonder now, if it'd been Man and God, instead of Man, Church and God, if i'd still believe. Why should you need a building, or some guy (or girl now) in a costume, to tell you how to communicate with God? Isn't God omniscient? Shouldn't he be hearing you anywhere, at anytime?

But if it'd just been Man and God in all the religions, one does wonder if we'd have all the fucking problems we have today.

I work for a recycling firm; inkjets, toners, mobile phones. And it's just me and her. Most of the time, it's pretty good, intelligent, informed conversation. Like me and scribe.
But whenever we stray near morality or religion, any religion, it gets dicey and i have to start breathing quietly to myself.

sadly it's very hard to do up north. expensive to send things down south.

For me religion is the true devil. Religion is people enforcing rules on something they love. Every human being on earth knows wrong from right in their own heart. We don't need the q'ran, bible, teachings of zoaraoster or budhha or confucias. What we need is to be a litter better to each other and use our own common snese.

Organized religion and political systems are just flipsides of the same coin. They're both about power and control. Simple (and complex) as that.

 

I'm atheist bordering on agnostic. (I hate those labels.) Good points ares. What if a God created everything but that was his only job and he died afterward? What if it's not a God's job to help anything get better or worse. I'm into What-ifs on the God issue...

I made some good scratch today in overtime.

worked for 2 hours but was paid for 4 as that's the minimum amount for a call out.

 

I'm leery about `God created the Big Bang and that's it` territory because it strays into intelligent design, and that's just a backdoor way of imprinting creationism on kids.

 

I saw a docementary that was talking about waste and recycling. It said that in western society, in order to produce on truck worth of goods we have to manufacture 32 trucks of waste. What are we doing so wrong?
