Yeah Ares, I saw that remark on E. I knew he'd get banned - as he should have. Even if she wasn't a member here that was a dumb ass comment.

 

I sent her a PM general apology, from the phundom and males in general, off the back of our earlier flirtation. Sure, as she says, she's got a bigger than average nose. So what? Distinctive features are sexy as hell.

It was the veiled comments about our apparent racist natures that raised my ire the most.

 

I'm sure she's okay - that was nice of you BTW.

Judging from the rest of his comments why would you let anything someone like that says even remotely start to get under your skin?

It didn't bother me; it offended me in it's presumption. I'm British, English and white, so i get a lot of shit hurled in my general direction on a daily basis by....well, everyone really, purely on the perceived nature of `my people`.

It pissed me off to see it seeping into the phundom, especially from a 3000+, 3 year member.

Well, i'm a white boy from the south - where the slaves were for so many years. It is still presumed that we are all racist here. I don't think it will change in my life time either - there are too many people *cough Al Sharpton, Jesssie Jackson cough * that won't let it die. I don't care - if you automaticly judge me without getting to know me first I look at it as it's your loss.

No, haven't seen that. I'm surprised because i've seen just about every movie Denzel has been in. They assumed someone was black in it?

 

This is off the top of my head;

Denzel is a sleazy lawyer, Bob a racist cop trying to nail said sleazy lawyer. Plot, plot, plot, Denzel is murdered, Bob has a heart attack. Guess who Denzel is a match for? Bob wakes up to find his colleagues have placed a large black dildo between his legs and start singing some Motown song or something (i don't recall; you could dance to it 'cos they did. Badly. Like only white people can.) However, he was not aware of the donor of said heart. So, he's not happy.
Then he sees Denzel's ghost, attached to said heart, and he's not happy about that either. So, Denzel's ghost and Bob solve Denzel's murder and whole other plot points besides.
Happy endings all round.

It's really not such a bad 80's flick. If i ever saw it on DVD, i'd probably buy it.

 

Sounds like it wasn't that bad. I little comedy and seriousness combined. May have to try to check that out.

Alabama weather is always like that too. The saying goes "if you don't like the weather - stick around for a couple of hours and you like it then" meaning it changes every couple of hours.

I was up in Prince Rupert once, waiting for the ferry up to Alaska, and i asked this local guy giving me a lift if it rained like this a lot around there (it was torrential). He kinda grinned at me and said `This 'aint rain; this is the weather.`

They're a little odd in Rupert.
