    They "bought" an anullment from the church, so the marriage never was, according to the Catholics. (But I'm pretty sure I remember being there for 19 years!)

    All you need is regular church attendance, you have to know your priest, and you need 2 sisters to sign documents saying what a bad guy the husband was. (I'm not a bad guy. Really.) Then the paperwork goes to the Archdiocese and they rubber-stamp it.
