Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     `scoff` is a slang contraction of the slang phrase `scoffing your face`, which means eating a lot of food, not unlike a pig. `Scoff` means food, lunch, and is prevalent in working areas, rural and northern.

    It's food origins are South African in basis, which may explain why it travelled to the British homeland. Many things of our culture hail from Empire.

    The `American` equivalent for scoffing is scarfing.
