    k-lite codec pack or divx which is what i use to play my media works well and has fewglitches. It is what your media player uses to tell it how to read and play movies.

    the ice i make at home i know is rodent feces free. i saw a study where tehey say alot of ice is contaminated with rat hair and urine/etc. :-?
    i like the divx one myself, it is free and takes care of about 95% of all videos out there. The rest if i can't play it with that i use vlc media player, also a free software. Only thing both will not play is real media player encoded videos.

    Download REAL PLAYER ALTERNATIVE and install only the codec...then it will play all real media with your Media Player Classic or in your case VLC.
