I have an astigmatism - i've heard that it is correctable but i'm not sure. Since I don't have the money to do it yet I haven't really spent much time researching it. The corrective procedure for it came out several years after far/near sighted surgry did so I didn't rule those comments out.

Whatever it takes, or whatever you can do I guess. I only recently had to start wearing reading glasses for small print like newsprint or the typical font size found in paperback books. 44 years without them then I get hit in the head with a chair and the next thing I know I'm farsighted. :?

Did you see my writing tour de force in Salty's 10K thread? It starts on page 4... a bit of a fairytale I'm quite proud of.

 

The glasses I wear are about $500 bucks and last for 2 years only. The way I figured it, it would pay for itself in about 4 years. I've also heard rumors that the surgery would only help for 8 - 10 years, either way I would come out a winner.

I hope you pm'd the people that commented in that thread to bs it up for you and they didn't think it was for real - especially Salty since it was his celebration thread. I didn't read all of it, only your 1st long comment and scammed over the rest.

 

Oh definitely. Glasses can be freakin expensive. Anything to save money and help your sight at the same time is well worth it.

Salty pretty much instigated that shit and the rest of them just piled on. toolz thought it was real at first, but I set him straight right away. Shit, we had thought all the regulars had already posted in there and that it would just be a bit of phun, but the rest of those guys decided to make me work it!

 

LOL - sounds like something Azz would come up instead of Salty. I'm sure you now have a lot of the "lurkers" believing that shit just like a lot of them still believe i'm black.
