    You think majority rule is good with only 2 parties? Republicans ruled congress during the first 6 years of Bush's administration and look where it's got us. A third party that didn't automatically swing one way or the other depending who was in the White House would've had a major bearing on the way government has gone about it's business historically, and most certainly as of late. I don't need to point out all the major fuck ups do I?

    As far as the big/little gov't argument goes, I've yet to see either the dems or the reps do much in the way of pruning, all their bluster about it to the contrary. A strong party with a libertarian like slant would like change that. States rights are very important, and yet historically the fed has been seizing more and more of them with unecessary oversight for a long time, not to mention blatant blackmail if the states didn't toe the line on certain pet issues held dear by whichever party controlled the federal purse strings during administrations of the dems and the reps. Seatbelt and helmet laws, abortion, the drinking age, speed limits... etc. The list goes on and on and on. :?
