not gonna bother getting it checked out. i am resting it, no work for a while and a bottle of whisky next to me.
i still have a numb left hand too, been like it for a few weeks now. i remember mentioning it in here. it's not the whole left hand, just the little finger and the finger next to it, that half of the hand and sometimes that side of my forearm. any ideas?

haha. I play to about a 10 right now. It's not official either, I just keep it myself. I studied how the USGA did the numbers - not very hard unless you play several different courses, which I don't.

Take medicine that deals with swolen muscles/tendons. I take Ibuprofen or Alieve when my back acts up on me. Not sure if you have those brand names over there but that's medicine you need.

hopefully, i'll call the guys I normally play with in another 1/2 hour or so to make sure they're playing today. They all own businesses so sometimes their jobs get in the way of our normal game.

 

oh right, how's the weather? it's miserable here.

 

Awsome here right now - high today is 74F 5-10 mph winds out of north (coolish) and almost 0 humidity. This is my favorite time of the year.

No, but I would love to. I get claustrophobic after being on a plane after 4 or 5 hours so I don't think i'll ever be able to swing it. Maybe one day i'll be able to cruise, that's probably the only way I could make it. Have you ever been anywhere over here?

 

well you should try. don't worry, i shit myself on the plane from england, and it's only a forty min flight.
no never been to america. have always wanted to. but it's so big i wouldn't know where to try first.

 

I been on many planes, as long as the flight isn't that long they don't bother me. Most of my trips have been business trips to Chicago or Dallas - they only last 2 - 2 1/2 hours, no big deal.

My brother-in-law and his family make a trip every year somewhere in Europe. Last year they wen't to Ireland. I always enjoy the pics they take and the stories they tell from meeting people in pubs and what not. Makes me jealous as hell. Who knows, maybe one day.

 

yeah, after living in england for so long i got used to only really chatting to the people i go out with or the locals in my local pub. if you don't know anyone, then you generally wouldn't talk to them.
but when i came back to ireland i didn't know what was going on. people would chat to you at the bar/outside smoking/playing pool. it didn't matter who they were either, old, or a group of young lads who you'd think would cause a lot of trouble or something. everyone is very welcoming here and very friendly. it's amazing the difference compared to england.
i know it sound like a steriotypical view of ireland, but it's true.
and there is a hell of a lot of places to see too.
the funny thing is the whole of ireland has the population of the city of manchester in england.

 

Sounds like a lot of folks in England are full of themselves. Down here in the south it's like you say Ireland is - people are for the most part very friendly. The population is also less in general here than it is up north with the exception of Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN - but they still don't compare to cities like Chicago or New York.
