    I know, I miss it. I used to scramble satellite signals and got that kind of pay. I actually had one 3 day weekend where it snowed/iced so bad, I couldn't get out of the building, and others couldn't get into the building for 3 straight days. Was me and 2 other guys. We had 80 straight hours of work, no breaks, as we were the only ones there. We just sent the signals up for free, slept, played poker, and broke the vending machine to eat.

    Ended up getting straight pay for hrs 0-40, dbl time for 40-60, and trpl time for 60-80 and then they gave us 2 paid weeks off for keeping the customers happy despite the natural disaster. Was awesome, I packed up and went down to the border to blow a month's salary, with no impact to my budget.

    Oh to be young and dumb again.

    it was, but I was fortunate enough to like the 2 other guys I was trapped with, the office was huge, I could watch anything that was pumped in via satellite, since I scrambled the signals. I was only 20 at the time, so I could sleep anywhere, eat very little and still have a good energy level.

    Quite literally when the big wigs showed up and told us what we were getting for helping out without complaining, I went to my apartment, tossed some clothes in the back seat and drove for 14 hours to get to a warm climate. didn't come back until I was burned and sober.
