    twice - 1 to eat and 1 for gas. We're used to it - it takes about 4 to go to the casino and we usually go once a month at least. I think we Americans drive a lot more than most people do.

    We bought 2 portable dvd players for the kids to watch movies on the way. These things are worth their weight in gold for keeping the kids entertained while traveling.

    Many features on the cars have been made due to the long trips in America.Like the cruise control(for the looooooooooooong sr8t roads you have) and the in-car entertainment systems (so the kids can stay quiet for 6 hrs and not ask for 6hrs ''Are we there yet?'' :p )

    were not allowed to have a dvd that's viewable to the driver here - not sure if it's state law or federal. we can have gps guides though.

    it last several hours but i'm not sure. They have cig lighter power adapters that we use - and ofcourse headphones so we don't have to listen to the movies.

    Lot's of people here carry them on flights. They're really durable and the don't cost that much around here any more - as long as you get a standard one, not Blu-Ray or whatever.
