The tutorial shows how to erase around and extract a person from an image. But it seems like you wouldn't be able to place the extracted person on a new background. Say you have Emmanelle on the left, and you you want her on the right, too, with the same background as on the left. Seems like extract, copy, past would suck!

 

Your basic scenario: person on left, same person on right. I have no idea where to start. I give up.

duplicate the layer, shift the new layer to the right side, erase the junk on new layer til it looks the way you want (sorry I'm no good at teaching )
