    I think some of it has to do with the backgrounds of the pics and the skin tones of the models. I'll post a couple original pics so you can see what I mean.
    The countertop arrived, a one-piece, L-shaped affair, very nice. When we got it up on top of the base cabinets it turned out that one of the walls was out of square by 3/4", so we had to pull out the cabinets we had already installed and then rip out the wall and move it into plumb with the other one!! :lol:

    We were so pissed off that we couldn't stop laughing! Fuckin' old houses. :?

    I think I see why. The Alexa pics have been Photoshopped like crazy. (Some artsy folks don't like that smoothness that is the result of that. I happen to love it.) That's part of why the Alexa conversions look different.

    Cabinets were fine. It was the fuckin wall. Old houses can be like that though, especially here in Vegas were 30 years ago they used to just slap 'em up with little consideration for quality.
