The historic district had rules about home modifications. That's the point of having a historic district. My next-door neighbor was one of the new Tiger Stadium (Comerica Park) architects, and the guy next to him was an architect too.

You've probably heard of houses being moved from their original spot to a new one. One of the houses several blocks away -- a gorgeous house from the late 1800s -- was moved to it's destination, but when they set the house down they literally dropped it about 20 feet from where it was supposed to go. Roads had to be closed for a day to salvage the house and put it in the right spot.

 

Well, I have to go to bed. They're working on the concrete outside, so we'll see how the sleep part goes. I'll see yooze guys in about 7 hours.

Fine bama just go home..i had to change the tires to my car today.

 

October is kind of a willy nilly month for weather here. Over the weekend just past it was only in the upper 50's, low 60's. By the end of this coming weekend it's supposed to be in the mid 70's. I think 68 - 72 is the average for the next couple weeks and then it plunges into the 60's come November. That said, daytime temps stayed in the 70's well into December last year, so there's no telling.

 

Today it was 28' C too damn hot for this time of year...

I need to get new tires for my truck as well - been puting it off because they're so damn expsensive.

Not bad - makes it comfortable to walk around in those temps. Last time we were out there we just about dehydrated walking from casino to casino.
