now we are sending up the last 800,000 litres of diesel up to the Nunavut Power Plant.

should take 20 hours, maybe more. we'll start today, finish off tomorrow or Sunday.

Sadly, all the great/trustworthy ones are I think. I don't know how it is in Vegas, but here, anyone with a hammer, and a skil saw calls themselves "carpenter", and the market is flooded with hack douchebags. You've really got to do your homework up here before you hire if you don't know someone.

That's a good feeling. And you can count on them to be there "johnny on the spot", and get the shit done right the first time. Makes for easy sleeping when you have issues.

There's so much construction going on here for the past decade and a half that most of the best tradesmen in the country live here. Alot of layoffs lately actually makes for a glut of experienced people to call on if you need a handy man.

It all started with my dad. He taught me the value of learning the skills yourself even if you won't necessarily put 'em to use as a trade. Better to be knowledgeable than ignorant - that way, at the very least, you won't get ripped off if you hire someone to do something for you, and you can make certain they do it right.

Rainy here today then supposed to turn cooler. High's around 70F both days, should be great weather.

 

There are seasons to most game animals. Dove and most others have already started but I am going up hopefully nov. 10th for opening day pheasant and while i am at hit try for chukars, quail, ducks, geese and if time permitting bear.

Now as far as spring time i only go up there annually to shoot ground squirrels mainly and turkey. Other animals like rock chucks coyotes are optional.
