Of 14 total NFL games this weekend, I chose 5 correctly, missed 5, awairing on a loss in IND, and the OT in NY.

Also chose Tampa and NE to win it in primetime. Not very good perecentage this week.

Well, I feel his pain. I recently traded away Maurice Jones-Drew, arguably a top-15 back, for the rook Felix Jones of Dallas. First week I start him, he pulls his hamstring and is now out for a month at least, and MJD blows up for 110+ yards and two scores. Woe.

Yes.

 

The whims of the football gods elude me. I used to bet on the games every week for years but my best seasons were break even at best. All the time and research trying to figure out my best edge each week ultimately turned out to be pointless, so I gave it up. Now I just watch the games and I enjoy them more as a result.

 

I do too. It is detrimental in some ways playing fantasy because it sometimes causes you to root against your favorites and home team in order to win your own league. The thrill of the live game is good enough, but I thought I should at least try it out and experience why fantasy football is so popular nowadays.

 

Favre has changed. The running has supported them throughout this entire game. Where the hell was Cotchery?

 

Betting games with or against the spread, on the money line or even straight up makes things complicated enough. Betting on individual players just becomes too convoluted for me. Most of the sportsbooks at the casinos here offer a fanatasy league, but I never felt compelled to join one - even with their great incentives. Frankly, if I'm gonna throw my money away, I'd rather do it playing craps. It's more fun.

It might be last year's, Idunno. Year, the Halloween specials year after year are usually the week after Halloween, for whatever reason they find that to be sensible.

 

Well, 7 losses. Hopefully Tampa's defense can hold off a desperate Seahawks team, and maybe NE can fully exploit the real failings of the Broncos defense. Then, an even split.

I don't expect it, but I would to see it come to fruition.

 

I think that started because Fox was covering the World Series one year and it just sort of became tradition.
