    It's easier for the very young to learn languages then adults and even teens. Linguistics researchers say the language learning center in the brain is very receptive up until about 5 or 6 years old and then it's like a switch is thrown and the ability is lost. In some people the circuits stay open but for everyone else it becomes a real struggle. They're not sure why.
