We have to provide our own health care, the government doesn't help you unless you have kids living in your home or over 62.

i figure you aint to worried, until they find somebody else and not need you to come in at odd hours to fix things I am sure you will be ok. a hospital entirely dependent upon their computer system cannot go without having its only admin.

and how much is your taxes? and how much unemployment is in your area?
You see the benefits always come at a cost. taxpayers have to pay for it, and companies will be less reluctant to hire people knowing it will be a costly burden on them to have to help pay for it. Nothing is free my friend.

Its predicted that in 20yrs the state wont be able to pay any pension...due to overspending...cause health care comes from the ammount you pay for your future pension...

Yes it does suck, that's why it's so complicated. We have far to high of a population for the government to provide us health care....at least that's they say anyway. I've never understood why there can't be flat prices from wages just like taxes but i'm no politician.

I'm not the only one here but the only one that knows about many of the systems. We all have our specialties here, my responsibilities have just grown unbelieveably over the past couple of years. So many software vendors are getting away from high end unix servers with emulation applications and going to sql servers - which is where I come in.

Yeah, no joke at the immigrant.

The reason why a flat tax rate isn't applicable is because it will be unfair to the poor. let me explain.

Lets say to have just a decent living meaning affording to rent (not own) a place, paying for mandatory bills like water, food, transportation, and other social services a family of 4 needs a minimum of $20,000 to live off of.

If you make exactly $20,000 then you would have zero savings
now imagine a family that makes 100,000. at the minimum he has enough to save (up to $80,000)for his future or his family's unexpected needs. The family that makes just $20,000 will always be poor, and relying upon a miracle that nothing bad will happen. That is why a progressive tax system is more fair to everybody. If they can afford to pay more then they should. (this by the way is my liberal side speaking)
