I wasn't watching it for the sporting ability; like many on our island, if there's a Briton involved, suddenly i'm interested. That's probably not just us, either.

Although, in my defence, me and my Dad used to watch it a lot, till it got bad and political and way too much about the money. Fucking Ecclestone.

 

We're not that much into cars in the Detroit/Motown area.

Yeah, NASCAR has got that way too. It was more fun when it was a bunch of bootleggers racing their suped up Ford's, Chevy's and Dodges. Still, I get a bit tired of watching the enless left turn. F1 tracks don't suffer from that but still seem a bit - I don't know, redundant after a while? Road courses and rally on the other hand are cool, especially rally where there's a good chance you'll see a car fly off a cliff while misjudging a hairpin turn!
