Me and another guy from work fly out on thursday or friday to perth and have to do an induction but not sure if we are staying in perth over the weekend or going on to port hedland striaght away, hopefully staying in perth, i wouldnt mind checking it out, either way we will be going straight to the nearest bottlo when we arrive lol

Sounds a bit like the Kentucky Derby, which we hold on a Saturday. A day off for a horse race... What will they think of next? A national holiday for smiling?

 

We have that many shiity public holidays that mean nothing to us, this is such an occasion that we can all appreciate, and get drunk together.

Plus, all the females get completely tarted up and drink themselves silly

Hahaha, I'll be at work, not at the track unfortunately. It's on the other side of the country. Could go to the local track and watch it, but maybe next year.
