    for my outdoor photography i am looking for a telephoto lens, something inexpensive so i won't cry if i break it but has decent qualities so i am looking at canon's 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens.

    for portrait and family pics i am thinking of going with the tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens
