LOL - who knows man. It's the middle of the night/early a.m. in our part of the world. I'm surprised so many folks from the US stay up as late as they do. You got anything big happening this weekend?

 

Not much. Quiet one tomorrow and even less on the weekend. Getting my car windows tinted, that's the highlight

We've finally got the cool change after three days of 32-35c, and it isn't even summer yet.

Oh, and my cunt of a computer keeps shutting down by itself (usually between 3-4pm, and again about 8.30pm), fucking frustrating.

Yeah, i disappeared about the time you arrived.

This place has changed quite it bit since i disappeared.
When i left, racking up 40 posts a day was considered post whoring, now we've got folks like yourself and Inuk dropping 100+ posts a day on us.

I'm glad i don't pay for the bandwidth of the forum.

 

Don't know yet - obviously college football on Saturday. Supposed to only be in the high 40's F on Sunday so probably won't golf. More than likely just cut some firewood so that I can do something outside - can't handle being couped up inside all weekend.

No doubt. After being married for as long as I have and 3 kids that me time is even more precious. Don't get me wrong, I love the family but everyone needs some space sometime.

 

Absolutely. I'm a long way away from being where you are, but I'd like to think if I do settle down and have kids that I'll get some private time. We all need it.

I don't know if i mentioned it, but i chucked in my gig in finance and took the rest of the year off, so i'm basically in the middle of a 4 month holiday

Don't know how i'm going to cope having to start afresh in January, but i'm totally changing careers, so it should be exciting.

Yeah, it's been pretty hot this past week.
We're due for some relief though, with it not expected to get above 23 for the next 5 days.

 

I quit my job at the end of September, took the rest of the year off, before changing careers next year.

So yes, it was a good day.

When i first arrived here i couldn't believe you and Azz had 30k of posts (i'd never seen more than about 15k on a board before), but when i arrived back the other day and looked through the member list, i was genuinely shocked.

When i disappeared, i was about 9th on the list of most posts, three months later and i'm about 30th.

More power to them though because it's always good seeing fresh posts on this thread in particular.

 

I didn't know that. I kinda envy you, the one upside to my sick time off was the sleep-ins and knowing you had nothing to do but lie around and watch TV.

Enjoy it while you can, going back to work will be important but you'll be sick of it within weeks.

 

I'm making more of an effort to post in the GF, I neglected it a lot of late. If I had phun at work I'd be on here non-stop, but it's usually once a day and twice, three times on weekends.

Well, I cant's speak so much for inuk, but I spent alot of time getting to know everyone here and that takes quite a bit of posting. For the last few several weeks, or since before my 20K, I've settled in at maybe 30 to 50 posts a day. The upshot is that I might win Spammer of the Year. The downside is now noobs PM me with questions cuz they think I'm someone important with my unique color.

I know the feeling, in a small way. After that intense period of taking care of the kid all day everyday for 2 1/2 years, I was a little relieved to see her go so I could decompress. Of course, now I want her back.
