Noise rock as a term is pretty legit. It's existed since early 80's with bands like Sonic Youth and Melt Banana being pioneers. (That's what wikipedia says, but I know it before I read that page!!!). Post-hardcore and screamo has got some roots in noise rock too.

Anyway - I listen to the bands HEALTH, Black Dice, Lightning Bolt, Parts and Labor, Fuck Buttons, The Locust and some Ex Models.
My favourite out of those is definitely HEALTH. I've seen them live once, fucking intense show. I've also seen Black Dice live - equally intense, but in another way.

    I love watching Euroleague basketball.
    The fundamentals are great.

Do you know how Antonis Fotsis is doing? He once played for my NBA team, and from memory he now plays for PAO.

Also, what about Big Jake Tsakalidis? He was a favourite of mine at the Grizzlies, and i think he went back to Greece to play.

Like i said, i hate the pigeon holing of artists through genres, but i'd not heard of that genre before.

I always thought Sonic Youth went down as 'alternative', or even 'post-punk'.

I despise 'screamo' music, but a few of my favourite bands fit into the 'post-hardcore' genre, apparently.

Not heard of any of them :D

Just loading up the 'HEALTH' myspace for a listen, though.

    I love genres.
I just hate when they lose their original meaning, like "indie rock" and "alternative rock"

Sonic Youth = experimental alternative noise post-punk indie rock. Or something like that.

    I know, that's why I wrote post-hardcore.

    Knew that too.

    They're awesome.

That's the makings of a good joke.

    How are you, Magge?

ER is another show that i've never once seen (along with Heroes).

    That's amazing.

Glad to hear that Fotsis is doing well.

Oh, i just remembered you have another ex-Grizzlie on your roster in Mike Batiste.
    Is he doing well?

Oh, hopefully he's still playing somewhere.

I just don't see the point in pigeon holing bands, especially since there is a new genre everyday, thus they're all losing their meaning.

    Had a listen to HEALTH.
Not bad, although the singer is a bit monotone for my liking.
