It's been goin back and forth between damn cold and reasonably warm...it's drivin me nuts. It needs to just stay warm

 

We're in the `winter spiral` so cold and/or wet for the next four months. Hopefully.

Last thing we want is a warm Christmas. :sad:

 

Just finishing up my Smallville download.

 

I missed all my Thursday shows tonight except for Life on Mars...I'm gonna watch em tonight. Unless I go out tonight

 

I keep meaning to download an episode of `your` Life on Mars to see if it's any good.

 

so far it's alright, most of the episodes so far are adaptations of the British show. Of course nothing will ever compare to the original, but I'm still enjoying our take on it, it's been fun

 

I'm always leery about remakes, be they American of British, or vice versa.

One of the attractions of Life on Mars was the politically incorrect language littered about the place, stuff modern shows couldn't even dream of saying, from really bad and offensive to language that isn't really offensive, except to a few pressure groups.

I figured that the FCC wouldn't even allow a network show to use timeline-appropriate language, even in that vein.

 

yeah, there's pretty much no swearing in it...they've tackled some issues so far that regarded the times, but in terms of language, not really

That was my worry; that an un-PC show in the UK would be made into a PC un-PC show in the US. Which defeats the whole object, really.

It made sense...though I think if you use the word 'PC' a certain amount of times in a sentence, Bill Gates gets some kind of check, dunno for sure.
