Morning Caff and Funky - how are ya today?

Caff, it usually is pretty slow in here till this afternoon, the other day when it was so busy was unusual.

Ah, I thought it was always busy like that. Hard to keep up. Around when this afternoon do you mean, since I believe you and I are in the same time zone.

 

Kind of busy this a.m. myself, typical Monday though.

yeah I guess you could call it that. Worst friggin round i've played in years - shot a damn 92. I couldn't do shit, several OB balls of the tee and I don't even remember how many 3 putts I had.

The boys won again yesterday 4-3 - It was absolutely blowing a gale, torrential rain and a mud bath!!!! - They were nearly in tears at the end it was that cold!!!!

 

Yea, I am. Last time I went to Alabama I guess I just didn't notice the time change.

Which reminds me, I'll be there Jan. 16th. Cullman of all places.

Yeah, $30 total. I lost $75 the first 18 but we wen't out for 9 more again and I made a good come back.

Playing in mud was always fun but not when it's cold, I hated that.

Oh yeah, Cullman is only about an hour away from me. What's going on the 16th?

I have 2 friends fighting in it, and possible my boyfriend if they can find another fighter.

 

No, I played our brand of football from 5 y/o till I grauduated high school. Also played baseball that long, I played basketball till I was in the 9th grade then quit it. My dad made me quit one so he could have some time to rest.

My son played 4 or 5 years though, he swapped from goalie to stricker. He has asthma so he couldn't run the entire game.

 

Cool, I didn't know they had anything like that in Alabama. They usually host stuff like that in the Birminham Civic Center.

 

I used to play a different sport everyday of the week till I was 16 - I then discovered birds and booze

 

It's in the Cullman Civic center...the town scares me (lots of KKK and the only thing to do there is Walmart) plus it's a dry county, but the production on the fights is pretty good given the circumstances. I'm debating whether I should ring girl for it...kinda scared to with the whole racism thing.

 

I discoverd those as well but I still loved my football and baseball. My body doesn't love me for it though. I'm already having back and knee problems when the weather changes, I hate to think what i'll feel like when I hit 50.

I didn't know it was dry there. I've only been through there, never stopped. I lived in Birmingham for 3 years. I didn't think the racism was that bad there, San Mountain is the worst place in the state. Not sure if you've ever heard of it or not. And why not, be the ring girl - it may help promote traffic for you.

 

Nope, never heard of it. And I don't think anyone would actually stop into Cullman if they could help it.
