I seem to recall being told of an old law in Massachusetts which stated that if a citizen of Mass. found a citizen of Connecticut in Mass., they could shoot them.

One of those laws that got superseded but never taken off the books, like it's illegal to tether a horse in the street in Boston, or that unfortunate slavery statute they found on the books in Mississippi. In 1993.

Some Bostonian told me about when i was there, and it's one of those cool bits of trivia you can't seem to shake.

The Mass./Conn. thing is a hangover from the Revolution, the states being on opposite sides or something.
