yeah, the pc is gonna get hooked up to the rest of my network via a router.
hmm...I think I know what I'm gonna do now:
Just get some linux distro and write some cheatcodes in the boot, so it'll startup some VNC client automatically when it boots.
Problem solved, I think.

I don't know that much about linux, the other admin handles all of that but I know it can be done. Our inhouse intranet site is housed on a linux server sitting in the server room without anything on it. He just carries a usb keyboard and mouse back there if it locks up and needs to restart it.

He's self-centered. He's been fined by the NFL twice for shitty attitudes and fined by the Giants organization for not showing up to mandatory meetings several times and refused to show up for workout sessions in the off season until he got his contract extension - all in the last 2 years. I think he's gone but who knows.

Plugs in another monitor that's attached to a 8 port kvm switch temporarily. We've still got several tower servers in production that we haven't moved over to rack mount yet. It's no big deal to unplug a video cable temporarily just to boot. Does your monitor have DMI and DB15 inputs? Did you keep the DB15 cable? If so, just unplug the DMI from your other pc temporarily. and plug in the DB15.

Well...I'm gonna put a temp vidcard in the pc, and plug in a monitor just for setting up bios etc. then I'm gonna take out the card, and leave it alone.

It's just the type of connectors on the end of your monitor cables.
