I see that but technically you still have to initiate the dl from your pc through the software interface right?

Not much now, just a little work. Walked in to shit this a.m. though, just get everything settled back down about an hour ago.

So does dl run independant of the software interface? If so then you could shut yours down for the night.

Cool, tell me how you like it when you get finished with it. It's possible I could use it for a few things around here. I've got some people still running applications that are several years old that doesn't support Vista, i'm having problems getting xp installed on some of the new pcs.

Can't except for stuff that we develop. We purchase applications from vendors that are specific healthcare functions - like for reporting heart caths, calibrating radiation, etc... They require us to run on specific os's and specific hardware or they won't support it if we were to need it.

That's just the way it is in Healthcare, government regulations. Even though they don't run our healthcare in the US they still make the laws.

Depends on what you're doing with it. I use a shit load of freeware tools for doing different things here, like VNC. I've got password hack tools for when people leave, also things like CCleaner is a good tool. I don't like it for an OS though. But that's just me, I don't build them for home - that makes a huge difference. Like I mentioned, all this stuff is healthcare apps that are very important so no one minds spending a little money so we don't get a lawsuite.

Yep, I constantly use it to install/fix whatever workstations in the main building - saves me loads of time from not having to walk everywhere.

What you been up to Ant?
