    The lines between fame and celebrity and notariety blurred long ago. You don't need a dictionary to tell you that.

    It is a futile arguement being, with some notable exceptions, played out amongst the futile.

    I don't know why, but I'm more likely to click on the celebrity link than the model link. To me, a famous model is a celeb. There's just something different about seeing naked girls that I'm familiar with... :confused:

    I've always thought that most models should go in the models section. the likes of the big supermodels might be different as they are now worldwide famous.

    It's also very hard to distinguish these days because there are many actress/models or singer/models or singer/actress/models, etc. etc.

    If you really want a clear cut way to establish notariety, and I've seen this used elsewhere, make a rule that they must have a wikipedia entry to be considered a celebrity. Until something like that is established, there will always be grey areas because most models want to be actresses and most actresses do modeling and singers want both...hehe.

    And until then, someone will post a pic from Maxim and someone else will ask "Who is she, a model"?

    And the answer they will get from me is..."Well, ya, duh."

    That's the basis we've tried to use before. Problem is that nearly anyone is getting a wikipedia page now, but it's a good starting point.

    We'll work on something and I'll post a thread regarding it soon enough.

    Wiki, IMDB its all enough effort, if someone has eulogised a person to independently setup a website or entry for them then fair enough to (sic) celebratize.

    Bottom line, to most UK members if they appear in the sun then they are a celebrity.
