No, man, I got it -- I thought it was funny! I couldn't think of a good comeback. I kinda got pissed at myself that nothing good and funny came to me!

You may have noticed that on a worknight I'm never as "on" as I am on a night off.

I'm listening to the liberal media -- it's the headline news and the weather. Can the weather forecast be liberal? Whatever. I just told inuk we're in a huge warmup/thaw/fog advisory/flood watch till 5 a.m. tomorrow morning. Freaky weather in Michigan in December this year.

I'm not tired -- but I have to force myself to go to bed in a couple minutes if I'm gonna have any energy tonight to work.

I start at 10 or 10:30 p.m. -- 10 is the earliest you can start there. On paper I can leave at 4 a.m. -- they turn schedules into headquarters with short hours like that so they can show they're not "buying" too many hours in advance. Anyone who leaves regularly at 4 is usually let go, though. I leave when the work is done in my area or areas. That's anywhere from 5 a.m. to just before 8 a.m. The company is on a "no overtime" restriction, so I can't work more than 40 hours in a week. Sometimes the number of hours I've already put in dictates when I leave toward the end of a week. ... Long explanation, but it shows how the company works.

That's kind of a cluster fuck isn't it? Never had to deal with a scheduling system like that.

I'm blessed this week. Mon-Wed, then I have the good end of the monthly shift change. :D (a week off). Has it's drawbacks though as after the week is up, I'll be back on Thu-Sat for a month. :(

The manager who makes the schedules has me on a shift change-type schedule, too. Remember how the weekend I got 3 days off was followed by 8 days straight? The 8 days was the price I paid for the weekend.

Kind of the same thing I deal with too man. When it comes around again next month, I'll have either 3on-1off-3on, or the dreaded 7 straight 12s. :( Can't bring myself to look at the schedule to see. :p

OK, time for bed. I'll be back here later today, as usual. Have a great day, Salty and inuk! :)
