If you enjoy competition you'll enjoy golf if you ever give it a chance. And yes, there's lots of excuses thrown out when you mis-hit - that's for sure.

I`m just a little bit sad that i did not have my camera with me.
Could have been some funny/nice pics ...

But, i promised them to do it again in the summer time !

 

There's a course that I play from time to time that the holes bends through what used to be nothing but mountains. It has several creeks running through several of the holes - it's beautiful. It's exspensive to play it so I don't get to that often. I'm going to try to remember to take my camera the next time I do play to get some snap shots for the nature thread.

My boss is on me about this once in a while. Many people at my firm are playing and the company pays the fees ... So maybe, i will be there soon too.

If you've ever played any sport try it. Go to the range and hit several buckets of balls before you go on the course though, it's not nearly as easy as you think it would be.

It's best to take lessons first so that you don't start off with bad habbits. I wish I had done that. I had my 12 y/o take them and still takes them now - he'll be beating me by summer time - he's not far from it now.

Sure I would. I would be proud that he had done it at such an early age so i'd be bragging on him. I'm not great but i'm not terrible either, I have about a 10 handicap right now.

10 is rather good if i got it right.

 

It's better than average - the average is bogey golf, which is 18. It means I shoot high 70's - low 80's. You take a running average of your last 10 scores and take away 15% to get a handicap. That's how we do it, there are a couple different methods.

Sorry, it's kind of like people that's never played American football understanding the rules - if you've never played the sport it gets a little confusing.

I could imagine - it's really not all that hard if you watch it closely with someone that knows what's going on a few times. They can explain it to you as it's happening.

If you ever do that you need to go down both the east and west coastlines. There's interstates on both sides of the US that gives exceptional views while driving. That's always been a dream of mine, something I may do one day when I retire.

 

football isn´t that hard to get, imho. you just don´t have to touch the ball with the foot...

baseball is much difficult.
