    I'd put Hoosiers as worse than the Rookie among movies that get some respect.

    But neither's anywhere near Space Jam or the Rollerball remake or the Fan, Caddyshack II, The Cutting Edge, Bad News Bears in Japan, Bagger Vance, Necessary Roughness...those are some really bad sports movies.

    True, and that's what often makes a movie so all aroud great, not being able to pidgeonhole it. Character driven movies are always like that. Rocky was a great boxing movie, but it wasn't strictly about boxing. Same as The Outlaw Josie Wales. Was it a western? A Civil War movie? Or just a great yarn about a bunch of truly interesting people thrown together by fate?
    What does that have to do with racism? Is Iraq full of one specific race of people to the exclusion of all others, and who live there and only there? News to me.

    Like I said, I don't give a fuck. Big difference between indifference and racism.
