    Reboot your box, and when the post (power on self test/initial screen where it shows the bios info, and the DOS looking shit) comes up hit F8. That should give you a list of boot options. Boot up in safe mode. Pull the power on your modem when you do it though. Safe mode loads only the necessary Windows stuff, and your A/V, or firewall may not load. Your vid drivers won't spin up eitrher, so your screen will look fucked up. No worries though. Try tweaking those items that way and see if it helps.
