Morning to you both, speaking of the collages/edits thread I'm gonna go see if I can't tidy up my posts. I'll be back here in a little bit.

Yeah, all ok. They are checking the ventilation in my building this afternoon so i have to be home to let them into my apartment.
But, i have to go back to work when they been here....

I'm still kind of shocked that SB started that thread. I don't know what to say.

 

I don`t get it either, but what can You do about it ?
Maybe He just wanted to show off his work in a own thread, as we don`t already know that He is a great artist ...

 

In my thread I say "post your own work and others' work." In his thread he says "don't post your work in PM's thread, post your own work here." That has already confused hayd, and will confuse everybody.

 

I think SB feels that others original works get lost in your thread, mainly because people like me that post so many edits from other creators. I guess that may be his reasoning.

Thats exactly the reason I created that thread. I didnt mean to offend anyone but, Phunners original works will have a beter chance at being seen. I havent asked anyone not to post in the other thread. If the mods see it as an unecessary thread, they can delete it.

The confusion lies in where Phunners' post their own images: The original thread is for Phunners' posts, too. I had hoped when I began it that more would learn and post. I tried to encourage others throughout the beginning of the thread to make their own images, as well. If you read through the first few pages you'll see that.

 

The thread was also made before the Creative Backyard existed. I had no say in the matter when the thread was put there.

 

I've put myself in your place and understand what you're trying to accomplish. I really do. ... I hope you also see things from my point of view ... why I can see a confusing future for edits/collages with 2 threads.

 

They still have that choice. I simply made a choice not to have mine mixed with others outside Phun. Now others have that choice also. I'm hoping this might actualy increase Phunners contributions. It will for me.

 

Yes I do see your point and thank you for seeing mine as a creator. I didnt make this decision lightly. It was on my mind for some time.

 

I can see both sides and I hope that it works out for all. As for me I'll post my original creations in both if neither of you object, I just haven't had the time or the drive to do my own stuff in a while.

 

Why not make a thread for your own work, then? That would eliminate any confusion. Don't you think that sounds like a good, non-intrusive compromise?
