    you wanna know the direct cause and affect of inflation? I will tell you what is inflation.

    The government in my area thinks it is a great idea to raise the minimum wage of mcdonalds workers who are ill educated from $4.25 to $8.75 and therefore my big mac meal now went from $2.99 to $5.39. Now that is inflation. :p

    well the immediate direct affect is they raised the price of their food which by definition is inflation. Paying more for the same exact goods or services. paying them more money does not make the food better or allows for the employees to cook them any better for me. :-?

    well if they wanted a pay raise they should have learn a trade or set of skills that has a high demand for and apply themselves. This is nothing more than a government aided handout in my opinion.

    The dirty little secret of all this, is the fact that the vast majority of those earning the minimum wage earn said wage for less than a year before being given a raise, or moving on to bigger, and better things. Mostly students, or half wits. ;)

    Just another Democrat/Lib move to appease their voter base, and perpetuate their vision of a "nanny state utopia".
