as far as hunting i go to the same place every year. Modoc. Upper north eastern corner of california. The food is super cheap, i stay at a friend's place, and since gas is so cheap now this will be a wonderful year to go. Especially since it has been so dry here the animals will have to roam more to get to their food which means more opportunities to shoot them.

 

Little kids are such a joy. I've really only begun to appreciate that since my daughter came along. Didn't have much use for them before that time.

i didn't mean to make you sad bud. You will always have family on here. Maybe someday when we meet up i can give you a hug.

 

I get along great with kids. ('Cause I haven't grown up yet myself. )

 

I think I've been up around Modoc before. Pretty country, but then I think all country is pretty.

Plus, you can more easily hear the animals creeping around in the dry underbrush. Of course, it works both ways.

Kids are fascinated by me. You ever seen Kindergarten Cop, where Arnie first meets the kids? It's a lot like that. :mrgreen:

Plus, i'm a big kid, but i know the limits. I think kids sense that; they feel safe with me because they know i can and will lark about with them but only so much so as not to get them into trouble or hurt.

 

Especially when you get to be the favorite uncle. You get to spoil them.

I'm just sayin.

I wouldn't mind being a little kid for a day. What a tremendous release that would be.

 

There's something to be said for restraint. Wailing and screaming at the sky never got anyone anywhere.
