    It was a pretty cool trip all in all. We could've been better provisioned but as an 18 year old you don't always think in those terms. We had a Vist Cruiser station wagon, plenty of gas and grub money and a quarter pound of weed. It worked out well.

    it depends on when i get the call that the ground squirrels are out. Late april or early may. But with the warm weather maybe sooner.

    i know, that is why i am not going to be harsh on him. It is all about seeding good will into him about doing the things i love. If he enjoys it that could be my future hunting and fishing partner! :p

    when my eyes are old i will need somebody young to tie my flys for me or carry all the birds i shot. :p

    One of the places I lived at in Colorado was a cattle ranch of sorts. Me and my buddies used to sit on the porch in the evenings and shoot the prairie dogs out it the field. I had a nice Mauser .22 automatic with a 30 round clip. It was nearly as simple as shooting fish in a barrel. :lol:

    yeah but what i bring is a bit more than a 22 automatic. I load mine up to maximum charge 22-250 round. It travels out at around 4,200 fps and when i hit them you can see the affects from last years' vacation pics. If hit dead on they disintegrate. :lol:

    It is so much fun indeed!
