I've been thinking of retiring from collages/edits for a while. It's actually around the time before I joined Phun. I only kept creating them and posting exclusively to Phun cuz I felt special here since no one else really did them. Gman and DeadLamb being here changes all that. I've never been a fan of either of their stuff mostly because they go more for quantity and what I call the "easy stuff" (solid color backgrounds, two pics per edit). I go more for quality and the creative hard-to-do stuff. Don't get me wrong, I 100% respect them as people but every forum I've been in, either or both of them are treated like kings mostly because they've been around the longest when their works have only ever been mediocre. That's always annoyed me. I've seen great artists come and go mostly for this reason. It just seems like it's not worth it.

 

But everybody here knows that. We know they do the "easy stuff" and you do the "hard stuff." You're not giving us enough credit.

 

Anybody can see that 4 Emmy Rossums increasing in size/perspective is way more than 2 pics of a celeb just merged together.

Well i still treat you like a queen on here have i not? I don't even know these two of which you speak of.

The bottom line here eve is your work is appreciated. There are people who view them and enjoy the hard work you put in. It shouldn't be a competition between you and those other guys/gals but more a competition between yourself to always strive for better or more.


But if you feel the need to take a break to clear your head then do so. But just don't leave phun because there are others making wallpapers. Your presence even if you aren't editing pics is still appreciated.

 

Plus, you are developing longevity, too. Try to look at it from the outside looking in. We know what's good, and we know what's BETTER then just good. We know you're BETTER.

 

So...I know that the topic has been on sig's as of late, but what the f is nbc thinking with jimmy fallon taking conan's spot on late night?! The guy is like a shaky tomb. And I'm not saying carson daly is any better, but come on. btw, carson must know now that he is viewed upon as being just an awful comedian.

 

Or, if you have respect for my art knowledge, consider this fact: When I started that thread, you are the only one I asked to contribute in there. There was a reason for that, and it wasn't because you're female. It's because I could easily see you had the chops.

Wtfazzhole - yea...he definitely got out at the right time. Probably, he paid for that tummy tuck and saw the results and bounced.

Eve, i really don't care about edits, but i enjoy your company on here, it is that simple cause you are cool to chat with. So stay and chat. post an edit whenever you feel like it, there should be no pressure for you to just be on this forum to have to create something.

Here's how focused I was at the time: I was thinking about EVE's art. I wanted her for her art, not her mind or body. I didn't know she was so cool to talk to in a chat forum when I asked her to come here. Plus, she was brave as hell to pop in here the first time.
