Well, what happens when you get your car repo'd is that the towing company brings your car to the lot. The car is cleaned out immediately and documented and kept secure for 90 days. Then, if not redeemed in 10 days, it is brought to a dealer only car auction where it is sold at a wholesale price. Not good. After all the fees are paid for by the finance company, the debtor is indebted to the rest. Which is usually substantial. Especially since that person is now going to be paying for years on a car they don't have.

There was one where we repo'd a car back from the police where the back window, passenger side door, and driver side mirror were shot out. The debtor fleed from the police on a traffic stop and left the car running. Police chased the suspect and the car was stolen DURING the chase. The car thieves looked in the back seat during the theft and saw a baby in a carseat! They dropped the baby off at a fire station, but later were caught. We took a loss on that one as a company.

yeah, but i like a hobby that i can tinker with and also help out friends and family. I was hoping to get a dozen roughly identical cameras to fix up and donate to my local senior center so the old folks can have a hobby to do. I might try and do a broken camera drive at my church and see if people are willing to help out.
