    The downside of the -74 is that it wasn't designed to be as rugged or as simple as the -47. Still tougher than most Western rifles, but nothing's as crazy-simple as the -47. Hence it's prevalence all over the world. ;)

    Very true. But,You take that weapon. Ill take an M16, or a M14 and at full auto see who hits the center at 1/2 Kilometer. That is why I like the AKM They do not drift all over the place. But with the stamped manufacturing the thing is a fucking work horse. you can fire that weapon till it catches fire.

    Never hurts to know what the fuck you're doing. I've seen too many city slickers kill everything except the deer they were hunting to assume that just because you have a good weapon you're automatically a good shot. ;)

    The drift of the AK's have always been their problem, but your average Podunk fucking villager in Bumfuck, Africa/Asia/South America/Middle East isn't concerned with such nuances as accuracy.

    Personally, i still kinda love the G36. It's the weapon the British Army should have had instead of the L85, but because it was a H&K, we get saddled with a `British` weapon. It's a fine, accurate weapon now they've fixed all the fucking problems, but the military would still drop it like a hot rock if they were offered G36's across the board. ;)
