    I was way too late for the L1A1 in active service, but the old timers lamented enough about them that we got to rock out with a few; devastating fucking weapon.

    Laws in the UK are simple; no-one is allowed guns. :wink:

    Handguns were banned for private ownership after a massacre at a school in Dunblane, Scotland. Farmers and hunters have shotguns and rifles, with about seven bits of paper filed hither and thither with various agencies as to why you have these weapons.

    Ranges went too, so much so that our Olympic shooting teams have to go to Switzerland to train.

    'Course, if you want an AK, there's any number of pubs in Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool or London where you can pick one up for three or four hundred quid. Allegedly. ;)

    Like I said - deer hunting. I've only ever had 30-30, 12 gauge shotgun, and a ... Remington Model 700 .30-06. Liked them all but the 30-30 was better where I hunted at because the woods were pretty dense. .30-06 round would stray from a twig sometimes.

    Good for you. Nothing to serious for her I hope.

    But it's a criminal element that are somewhat removed from the mainstream, no matter what the hysterical media might suggest.

    Still, that's why there are more armed police on our streets than ever before, terrorism notwithstanding.
